Rig Accountant

On behalf of one of our clients, we are searching for a Rig Accountant for a long time assignement, starting asap

The Rig Accountants tasks and responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Responsible for routine accounting work of rig cost center and the rig owner companies
Aprroval of invoices in Eyeshare. The routine consist of review finance accounts and cost center, correct VAT treatment, project number and correct expense period. Also control of authorization according to POA
Monthly follow up and accounting of Stock transactions based on reports from Star
Ensure that open POs, invoices and other performed activities are reviewed with the Maint. Supt. / Rig Manager accrued
Review budget reports from payroll, based on project number and names correct cost spread between sister rigs and companies. Analyze of payroll elements vs. budget and also necessary accruals for month close. Also file the report after Personal Coordinator have reviewed and signed with Rig Manager
Prepare monthly, reporting for management in liaison with Rig Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
Responsible for all Billing to Client and collect payments, including re-charges
Responsible for intercompany billing
Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and follow up of amortizations, revenue and expenses
In-charge of Fixed Assets & CIP account in owner company, movement schedule including scrapping, budget, forecast, depreciation and reconciliation
Actively follow up on his / her own competence status in accordance with position and together with supervisor plan for training activities required to close any competence gaps

Education:
Minimum Bachelor degree

Experience:
Minimum 2 years
Familiar with Norwegian Accounting GAAP
Familiar with IFRS and SOX is preferred
Experience in Drilling industry is preferred
Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and oral
